Meet our Coaches

Coach Julian Fiammengo

 

 

Julian Fiammengo is the Campolindo Varsity Baseball Coach. His playing experience includes College Park Baseball & Football, including NCS champion 2008 and 1st team all league defensive back 2008. He completed his Bachelors in Political Science from San Francisco State in 2014. This is his 12th year coaching high school baseball.

 

 

 

 

 

Coach Bob Ralston

 

 

 

Bob Ralston, former Head Coach of multiple College and High School Baseball programs, Moraga Baseball Association is thrilled to welcome Coach Ralston back for the 2024/2025 Season.  Ralston has Managed or Coached at every level of Baseball including Clayton Valley HS, Diablo Valley College, Cal State East Bay, the University of California, St. Mary's College and in the Chicago Cubs organization. Prior to coaching, Ralston was selected by Baseball America as a First Team All-American at the University of Arizona.  Ralston played seven seasons as a middle infielder in the Minnesota Twins and Oakland A’s organizations.  He was inducted into the UofA athletic hall of fame in 2024 and also coached the Bellingham Bells a summer collegiate baseball team in Washington state.

 

 

Coach Jonathan Pluth

 

 

 

Jonathan Pluth graduated from Concord High School in 2015 where he played four years of varsity baseball, earning first-team all-league three of four years in the Diablo Valley League.  He went on to play at Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg, California, where he started at second-base for two seasons, earning honorable mention award and All-State Academic team his sophomore year.  Jonathan transferred from Los Medanos to Mayville State University, North Dakota, playing his final two years for the Comets.  At Mayville State, Jonathan earned first-team all-league his junior year and honorable mention his senior year, plus a conference championship his junior year with a 32-13 record. JP will be heading into his 6th year with MBA, coaching the 11U Maverick Team in 2025.

 

 

Coach Joshua Wiens

 

 

 

Joshua Wiens graduated from Concord High School in 2015 where he played three years of varsity baseball and two years of varsity football. He earned first team all league Diablo Valley League honors in both baseball and football his senior season. Joshua was also named Concord High's 2015 Male Athlete of the Year. After high school, he attended Sacramento State where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Joshua spent the 2023 season as the head coach of Concord High School’s junior varsity baseball team.  He is MBA’s top assistant coach in the Maverick program.

 

 

 

Coach Zach Corkran

 

 

 

Zach graduated from Concord High School in 2016 where he played two seasons as a varsity second baseman and pitcher. In those two seasons, he received multiple scholar athlete awards with over a 4.0 GPA, DVAL honorable mention team and coaches voted awards such as most improved player and coaches award. He also received the Jack Dress Award which is given out yearly to the senior who epitomizes the model player. After a brief stint as a pitcher with Diablo Valley College in 2017, Zach was the head JV coach at Concord High as a 19 year old, leading the team to a 13-6 record. He spent the past two seasons as the assistant pitching and head strength and conditioning coach. Zach is the head coach of our 2025 13U Maverick Team.
