Maverick Program Overview (11-14U)

MBA’s Maverick program is our highest level of competitive baseball for players in the Bronco and Pony divisions only (ages 11-14).

Typically, MBA selects a total of 4 Maverick teams for the Spring season: 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U. All players are coached and selected through an evaluation process by professional, paid coaches.

The Mavericks program plays in the 680 league, which consists of about 20-24 game season. There are 3 games each weekend, a double header one day and a single game the other. One day game(s) will be home (at JM) the other will be away(at the other team's home field). Away games are usually within a 30-40min drive along the 680 freeway corridor. Practices are at least 2 days a week with usually an optional 3rd day of training.

At the end of the 680 league in late May, each Mavericks team will have the opportunity to extend their season and participate in local tournaments, the Spring 12U Maverick team will participate in a destination tournament in early Summer (Cooperstown, Omaha, etc.). Players selected for the Maverick program are typically charged additional registration fees and extra tournament fees based on each team's length of season.
